Maryland Casino Revenue Drops 2.4% in June

According to data from Maryland Lottery and Gaming, the state’s six licensed casinos generated $156.8 million in combined slot and table game revenue during June. This total marks a 2.4 percent decline compared to the same month in the previous year.

Monthly Venue Performance

MGM National Harbor recorded the highest earnings at $66.6 million, reflecting a 0.9 percent year-over-year decrease. Live! Casino & Hotel followed with $56.2 million, down 4.7 percent. Smaller venues showed mixed results: Ocean Downs Casino increased revenue by 4.3 percent to $8.8 million, while Horseshoe Casino, Hollywood Casino, and Rocky Gap Casino fell by 0.4 percent, 5.8 percent, and 6.8 percent respectively.

State Contributions and Fiscal Totals

Gaming operations contributed $67.9 million to state funds in June, a 0.9 percent drop from the prior year. The Education Trust Fund received $48.9 million, representing a 1 percent decrease.

For the full fiscal year 2026, spanning July 2025 through June 2026, total casino gaming revenue reached $1.9 billion, down 1.7 percent year-over-year. State contributions for the period totaled $831 million, marking a 1.1 percent reduction.
