Legislative Changes in Ecuador

Ecuador has enacted a new legal framework for sports betting. The regulation imposes an annual license fee of approximately $315,000 on operators. Additionally, a 15% tax applies to both operator income and player prizes. The legislation explicitly excludes casinos, maintaining the current ban on casino-style gaming.

Market Expansion in the UAE

The Gambling Control and Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) has issued a gaming-related vendor license to Malaysia-based RGB International. This approval marks the 22nd company on the regulator's vendor list. The licensing activity coincides with preparations for Wynn Al Marjan Island, the UAE's first integrated casino resort.
